Asciugare i panni in casa fa aumentare di molto l’umidità e questo può causarci problemi

Questo perché i panni bagnati farebbero aumentare il tasso di umidità interno delle abitazioni e di conseguenza le muffe potrebbero proliferare. In generale stendere i panni in casa, se ciò fa innalzare l’umidità è sconsigliabile.
C’è una muffa particolare sotto accusa: l’aspergillus fumigatus che è causa dell’aspergillosi, un’infezione dell’apparato respiratorio.
Il prof. David Denning, direttore del centro ricerche spiega: ‘Un carico di vestiti contene due litri d’acqua e questa viene rilasciata nell’ambiente. Molti di noi sono immuni ai funghi che crescono in queste situazioni, o hanno difese sufficienti a combatterli, ma tra coloro che soffrono d’asma può provocare tosse e respiro affannoso. Inoltre per le persone più deboli fa aumentare il rischio di aspergillosi che può portare danni talvolta irreparabili ai polmoni’
Quindi meglio stendere i panni all’aperto o utilizzare un’asciugatrice. Se proprio li stendiamo in casa cerchiamo zone con buon ricambio d’aria ed evitiamo la camera da letto o il salotto.
